Well other than a rough start in some places, including some people not being able to sign up and others being charged for their free trials, I would say that the WWE Network itself is a great product. It took me a while to get signed up. Every time I tried to set up my membership, the website took me to a page indicating that the video I was looking for was not found. It took maybe an hour until I was finally able to set up my membership.
Once everything was set up, I have had nothing but a positive impression of the WWE Network. Although it currently does not include every single pay per view event, those left out are very few. The application works great, the choice of videos is outstanding, and the original programming seems solid so far. I can only really say that I like the network a lot and will probably be spending a lot of time on it.
I can only see the network as a good thing for wrestling as a whole. One of the reasons that many wrestling fans turn away from wrestling between boom periods is the expense of being a wrestling fan. When pay per view cards get only about 500,000 buys a month while millions watch the TV shows, it is not surprising that fans turn away from the sport.
Jeff Jarrett said a few weeks ago that he felt wrestling is getting ready for another boom period and I think he might be right. With the low cost of the WWE Network, I think old fans might come back and current fans might be retained. I think this will only add exposure to other shows and might do something to help TNA and Jarrett's new project.
Anyhow, if I had to give a grade to the WWE Network, there is no question it would be an A.
