What can I say about Wrestlemania 30 other than it was a huge improvement on the year before. The previous Mania was overly predictable, with fans knowing for a whole year that we would be seeing a rematch of the Rock and Cena with Cena winning.
Everyone keeps talking about the streak, but that was not the most shocking moment for me. When Cesaro lifted the Big Show up and held him and threw him over the top rope, it made Hogan's Andre slam lose a little bit of its shine. Cesaro, as I have mentioned, is a major talent and deserves much better than what he has been getting.
Other than that, I wasn't too surprised that Daniel Bryan beat Triple H, but it happened a lot sooner than I thought. I also expected more backstage stuff, but nope.
Bray versus Cena was dreadfully boring. THe Shield beating the New Age Outlaws and Kane was forgettable. The battle royal was less than spectacular, save for Cesaro and Kofi Kingston. The Diva match was not too bad, but it was good AJ retained.
So the big shock of the night came from Brock Lesnar defeated the Undertaker. I was shocked as the fans in the arena were. I can't really put it into words. I have been rooting for the streak to be broken for years. I detest Lesnar's character (I think he is a stand up guy in real life) but I was cheering for Taker for the first time and he lost. This harkens back to TLC when I was cheering for Cena simply because I hate Orton more. The one time I cheer for Cena, he lost. I need to not cheer for guys I do not like.
I have to admit I was nervous during Daniel's Bryan versus Batista versus Orton. But the right thing happened and this alone was more than enough to save Wrestlemania for me.
